Sample Submission

1.  Fill out a Sample Submission Form.   E-mail a copy to sequence@functionalbio.com or fax a copy to (608) 441-8127.   Print an additional copy and enclose it in the shipment of your samples.  If you have any questions about the form feel free to contact us.

2.  See the Primers Page for information on primer submission.  Standard primers are provided free of charge.  

3.  The links below have instructions on how to provide your specific sample format. 

     If you want us to do bacterial growth, DNA purification, and sequencing, submit either:

        Bacterial Colonies on agar plates

        Glycerol Stocks

     If you want us to do DNA purification and sequencing, submit:

        Pelleted Bacterial Cultures

     If you want us to do PCR, Exo/SAP cleanup, and sequencing, submit:

        Glycerol Stocks

     If you want us to do Exo/SAP cleanup and sequencing, submit:

        Crude PCR Products    

    If you only want us to do sequencing submit:

        Purified DNA (PCR products or plasmids)

4.  Results will be sent via email or posted on our FTP site.  If  you select the FTP option, we will send you an email when the results are posted.
